She has 2500 left to run. The race is 5 kilometers she stops 1/2way so she has 2.5 left.
1 kilometer = 1000 meters
Multiply number of kilometers by 1000 to convert to meters.
2.5 km = 1000(2.5) meters
2.5 km = 2500 meters
There are 2500 meters.
