Solve: 2x + 7 = -3, Please Help

So first thing first you have to make your 2 step equation into a one step so you simply subtract the 7 to both sides of the equation so now the 7 is canceled out and you are stuck with 2x=-10 so now your plan is to get "x" by itself so you would divide both sides by 2 so then the 2 cancels out and then -10 divided by 2 is -5 so now your answer would be: x=-5.

2x = -3 - 7
2x = -10
x = -5
