well we know that 3 • 14 is 42
and 3 • 10 is 30
so we need 12 more and 3
• 4 is 12 so t=4

• 14 = (3 • 4) + (3 • 10)
42 = 12 + 30
42 = 42

42=3t+30
42=t+.1
Then simple divide using the rules you've learned.
