I suppose both 1 and 3 are good descriptions. I would go for 1 as it shows that the deer's adaption makes it survive whereas the wolf's in-adaption leaves it hungry

The correct answer is 3. A deer and a rabbit consumes grass in a field

Step-by-step explanation:

In ecology, competition takes place when two or more organism/species use or need the same resource such as specific food, water, territory, and this resource is limited, which makes the organisms involved compete or struggle to obtain the resource they need and survive. Because of this, competition is also an important factor in natural selection as organisms are species are forced to adapt and some can even disappear due to limited resources. Considering this, the statement that describes a situation of competition in an ecosystem is "A deer and a rabbit consumes grass in a field " because in this case two species need the same resource and if this is limited a struggle or fight for this resource can take place.
