38.94 rounds up to 40 as it is more than half-way between 30 & 40.
65.43 rounds up to 70. even though 65 is half-way, .43 makes it closer to 70 than 60.
40 + 70 = 110

the answer is 104.4 because 38+65 is 103. then you add the decimal part of the equation which is 37. If you are rounding to the nearest tenth it would be 104.4
