The yearbook club had a meeting. The club has 30 people and three fifths of the club showed up for the meeting how many went to the meeting

We know 15 is equal to 1/3 of the value we want to know so the equation where the total number of members equals looks like this 1/3*x. Now divide both sides by 1/3 which equals 15/ (1/3). Dividing by 1/3 is equal to multiplying by 3 so 15 times 3 is 45. So the answer is 45
