In Great Britain, at the end of the 1700s, the pressure o some parts of British society to abolish slavery became predominant. They demanded the end of slavery in the territory of England and also demanded the end of the slave trade, considering it unhuman. It was until 1807 that buy and sell slaves was illegal in England, but people still were authorized to own slaves. Finally, in 1833, slavery was abolished in British territory.
