first you put the x in the side of the -2 and it will be like: y= -2 -x
then you replace the y in the other equation for (-2 -x) will be: 2x -3(-2 -x)=-9
after you multiply -3 times -2 and -x and will give you this equation:
2x + 3x +6 = -9
and the sum de 2x and the 3x that equals 5x
you subtract 6 from both sides and subtracted to -9
and this will be the equation 5x = -15
dived both sides by 5 and you will get x= -3

then you do the other equation using the y = -2 -x or 2x-3y=-9
but its more easy the first one
so you will replace x for -3
y= -2 -(-3)
and will get: y= -2 +3
because a subtract sing and a negative sing if they are together they form a positive sign
and will get y=1
answer: (-3, 1)

hope you get it
