What is the slope intercept form of the function that contains the point (8,12) and the has a slope of -2

slope intercept is y = mx + b
since they do not give the b(y intercept) you have to use the slope and ordered pair to find the b.
12 = (-2)(8) + b
12 = -16 + b
28 = b
y = -2x + 28
