An increase in racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity motivated the Ku Klux Klan's use of fear and violence.

The Ku klux Klan is an American white supremacist hate group also refered to as The Klan which has existed in three distinct eras at different points in time during the history of the United States. Each has upheld extremist reactionary positions such as white supremacy, white nationalism, anti-immigration, Nordicism as well as anti-Catholicism.
