Many think that group therapy and support groups function in the same way. Both offer the opportunity to share feelings, and the pain and progress of treatment. What is one major difference between group therapy and support groups?

A. Group therapy allows members to acknowledge shared experiences, while support groups do not.

B. Support groups bring together people with one or more common issue, while group therapy does not.

C. Support groups allow members to speak candidly about their feelings, concerns and views while group therapy does not.

D. Group therapy allows members to work on the process, focusing on the steps of the process heavily in the beginning, while support groups do not.

OK so basically the answer to this is B. because for a group it will usually be a common issue that's why they are created now the therapy is different because there are a lot more issues brought up and that are in the process of fixing.
