Good Morning!

You forgot the alternatives:

A.) Sherman gained a needed victory in Atlanta and marched from there to the sea, destroying everything in his path.

B.) Sherman secured Atlanta and most of Georgia with a degree of diplomacy that was unpopular with Southerners.

C.) Sherman's victory in Atlanta was achieved with very little loss of life, but I have destroyed many homes.

D.) Sherman's march through Atlanta gave Northern forces time to regroup. -

The southerners were not happy with General Sherman because he had won a major battle, driving back the Confederate army. He conquested Atlanta.

hugs!
