There is 1 and 5/16th of a pound of cashews in the bag.
In order to solve for n one needs to get rid of 2/3 by multiplying it by 3/2 on both sides (therefore canceling the 2/3 by the n (technically 1n but that is the same as just saying n). multiply 7/8 by 3/2 equaling (must do same on both side) n= 21/16 which can be reduced to 1 and 5/15 a pound. Therefore Bryce used 1 and 5/16th a pound of cashews at the party.
