Multiply the denominator by the whole number. Make that product the numerator. Let us now revisit the rule for changing a mixed number to an improper fraction

One solution could be:
2/7 + 3/7 = 5/7
Another could be:
4/14 + 6/14 = 10/14 = 5/7
