Explanation:

In the 8 days between day 10 and day 18, Andre's candy decreased by 115-43 = 72 pieces. In the next 4 days (half the time of that decrease), we expect it to decrease by half that amount, so 72/2 = 36 pieces.

After 22 days, the amount remaining will be 43 -36 = 7 pieces.
