If the dilation DQ is 4, this is used as a scale factor. If the enlarged photo has dimensions of 24 x 32 inch, the original photo has dimensions of:
24 inches / 4
and
32 inches / 4
6 inches by 8 inches
The original photo is 6x8 square inches.
