some animals such as birds increase their odds of mating by making their presence know by singing and creating noises that to a male or a female signals that they are available to breed
certain felines such as lions will create scent marks to signal to potential mates that they are available to mate so making there odds of mating higher.
flamingos and swans do courtship dances to attract potential mates so increasing their odds of mating
many animals such as spiders and birds are colourful so to attract a potential mates attention to increase their odds of mating
lions and hippos often kill other lions and hippo offspring to make females fertile again as a mother will only become fertile again once she no longer has a cub to take care of this behaviour is so that the lion or hippo can increase its chance to mate
hope that helps
