43 / 205 = x / 10250
Amount of people with a dog and surveyed devided by the surveyed amount of people must equal
The total amount of dogs devided by the total amount of people
10250 * 34 / 205 = 2150

Answer:

The reasonable prediction is 2150 people.

Explanation:

A random sample of 205 people in a town was surveyed about the kind of pet they owned.

43 of the people in the survey said that they own a dog.

The total population of the town is 10,250 people.

Let there be x people who has digs out of the total population.

So, the relation forms;

(43)/(205) =(x)/(10250)

=>
205x=10250*43

=>
x=(10250*43)/(205)

x = 2150

Hence,the reasonable prediction of the number of people in the total population that own a dog is 2150.
