Let use the variable x insad of blank.

(7)/(10) - x + (3)/(2) = (6)/(5)

We must isolate x , in order to do that, we must undo everything on the left side to get x by itself.

Remeber, in Algebra, there's a property called that is dealt with

a + b = c + b

or

a - b = c - b

This means that if two things are set equal to each other, if we add or subtract the same number from both sides, they will still be equal.

Going back to our equation

(7)/(10) - x + (3)/(2) = (6)/(5)

Since x is being added, we would subtract both sides by 3/2 because 3/2-3/2=0

So we get

(7)/(10) - x + 0= (6)/(5) - (3)/(2)

(7)/(10) - x + 0 = (12)/(10) - (15)/(10)

Remebe anything plus zero is itself, so

(7)/(10) - x = - (3)/(10)

Now we subtract 7/10 from both sides.

- x = ( - 10)/(10)

- x = - 1

Divide both sides by -1.

x = 1

So the blank is 1.
