Some people feel that music is meant to put a smile on our faces, or make us dance and forget the troubles of the world. In your opinion, is music meant to be pure entertainment, or does it serve a social and/or political purpose?

In my opinion it can be entertaining but some songs hold a meaning.

In my opinion, I feel that music is meant to be for the listeners enjoyment and entertainment. The musician creates music to what he/she think the listeners will enjoy. Therefore, this is how they get fans.
