Hi,
I don't have access to your map, but I can give you a general comment: Africa has been divided by the imperialist powers, often not along tribe and language lines. This means that people from different groups were put together in a country, and this made the struggle for independence harder, because there was less of a feeling of Unity than in a country with a common language.
This, for example, is something that you could understand from a map.
