You get it into its prime factors so
480 =48 x 10
10 = 2 x 5
48 = 8 x 6
8 = 2x 2 x 2
6 = 3 x 2

So the prime factors are:

2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 5

= 2^5 x 3 x 5

Answer:

The answer is
480=2^(5) *3*5

Explanation:

In this case we have to get the exponential form of a number, this mean that we have to break down the number in the largest number of equal numbers, first we are going to use the number 2:

480=2*240=2*2*120=2*2*2*60\\2*2*2*2*30=2*2*2*2*2*15

Now we use the number 3:

2*2*2*2*2*3*5

As we can see, we cannot break the number any more, so the exponential form will be:

480=2^(5) *3*5

The answer is
480=2^(5) *3*5
