7/12 because 1/4 = 6/24 and 1/6 = 4/24 and if u add them you get 10/24 which leaves 14/24 which simplifies to 7/12

Answer:
(7)/(12)

Explanation:

Let the total time of band practice be 't'.

Then, Practice spent by band on uniforms =
(1)/(6)t

Practice spent by band on marching =
(1)/(4)t

Then the remaining time=
t-(1)/(6)t-(1)/(4)t

⇒ The remaining time =
(12t-2t-3t)/(12)

⇒ The remaining time =
(7t)/(12)

Thus,
(7)/(12) of time was spent on playing music.
