she be able to read 30 pages 1.5*20=30 so your answer is her mom is wrong

No, because here mom is adding in 3.5 more pages when it say only 1.5. So she'll be able to read 30 pages because 1.5 and 20 pages of her friends is 30. So your answer is that her mom is wrong.
