What is the value of 4 + 2a?

That would be B. 16 because if a is 6 and is by 2, that means it is multiplication. And multiplication always comes before addition. So. 2 times 6 would be 12, plus for would be 16.

there are two ways you can do this. The first is to plug in the answers and check to see if they are true or false, the other way is to multiply 2 by 6 and then add 4. the answer is B 16, the reason is 2*6 is 12 + 4 is 16. However using the other method is not the best way to do it for the other way. This is because 48 and 30 are multiples of 6
