Which of the following sentences DO NOT use the semicolon correctly?

A) Arnold and Betsy hurried to feed the pigs; a huge storm was coming.

B) The pigs were still out in the field; therefore, Betsy and Arnold had to corral them into the barn for safety.

C) After feeding the pigs; Betsy and Arnold were caught in a downpour.

D) As they ran back to the house, Betsy and Arnold laughed that the pigs were safe but they were caught in the storm; it was truly an adventure.

I think it's A

The answer is C because the first clause is a dependent clause so a comma is needed after it.

A semi colon is used to join to complete thoughts. "therefore, Betsy and Arnold had to corral them into the barn for safety." is not a complete thought.

The answer would be D.
