7. The correct answer is C. The American Revolution could be said to be a pebble which started a wave. Not only it shown that the colonies could win their independence but also that it can also established a strong government with the elected leaders and effectively ushering the era of democracy. The French Revolution soon followed as did many others.

8. Two correct answers here are the second and the fourth option. It was stated for the first time in the Declaration of Independence that it was the governments duty to protect and insure its citizen’s basic rights. Jefferson use this effectively when convincing people that independence is necessary. Also, any kind of forced confession is not admissible in the court of law and the citizens rights are protected by the constitution.

9. The correct answer here is D. It is the President who can nominate a Supreme Court Justice but it is left to the Congress of the United States to approve that nomination. This is an example of the checks and balances system on which the US government is founded in order to ensure that not one branch accumulates too much power.

10. The correct answer here would be the second and the third option. Both the citizens and those who are not citizens of the United States in the US they are have a responsibility to obey the laws of the United States. Nonresidents, most of them working ones, have to pay US taxes while in the US. The rights as well as the responsibilities detailed in the Constitution apply to all on the US soil.
