Can someone please help me compare and contrast politics in the Tang and Song Dynasties. PLEASE give me a serious answer, I am very stressed out, and this is the third time I have asked.

Sounds like something from AP World, to me! Some pretty relevant main points to the politics include the civil service exam, the view on trade, and laws about religion. I'll offer two points:

1. In the Song, the civil service was offered to all, but in the Tang, it was only offered to the wealthy. So basically, bureaucracy was limited to rich in the Tang. Civil service, as I hope you know, is to allow people to get government jobs that help run society.

2. Chan Buddhism was practiced in the Song Dynasty, but it was banned in the Tang dynasty. So, here you could say that the Song Dynasty was more open to accepting religions, although I'm not aware if they had any religions banned at the time. Essentially they weren't political about what their citizens could practice in the Song Dynasty.

Good luck!
