Easy, here's how to do it. We know that for every 1 doctor there are four nurses so if there are 24 doctors then we multiply that number by 4 (1/4 ratio) and get 96 nurses. So 96 nurses and 24 doctors or 120 all together

1/4=24/x
you would cross multiply 24x4=96
then you add 24+96=120
There is a total of 120 doctors and nurses that work at the hospital.
