Don't know why this is so hard

-6 + 4q + (-6q)

first you have to remove the parentheses so because there is a plus sign before the parentheses and there is a negative sign inside the parentheses and you should know that a positive and negative sign give you a negative sign. so the equation changes to -6 + 4q - 6q. then you have to combine like terms in this case it will be the 4q and the -6q, you can figure out that it combines to -2q because 4 - 6 = -2 or because 4 + (-6) = -2. so then you are left with:

= -6 - 2q or -2q - 6
