-9x - (-8x-7) = 14
-9x +8x +7 = 14
-x + 7 = 14
7 = 14 + x
X = - 7
(-8 x - 7) - 7y = 7
56 - 7y = 7
56-7 = 7y
49 = 7y
7 = y
Answer x=-7 and y=7
