The correct option is: Halleck

Henry Halleck (1815-1872) was born in Waterville, New York. He graduated from the Military Academy of the United States, in West Point, in 1839 and served in the war with Mexico from 1846 to 1848. He retired from the Army in 1854 to practice law. However, after the outbreak of the American Civil War in 1861, he returned to the Army with the rank of division general. He commanded the Department of the Missouri from November 19, 1861 until July 11, 1862, when he became general commander of all the armies of the Union. He held this position until March 1864, when he was succeeded by General Ulysses S. Grant.
