Do FOIL (First, outer, inner, last)
(x-3)(x-4)
multiply the x's since they are first
then multiply -4 and x
then multiply -3 and x
then multiply -3 and -4
putting it all together gives you x^2-4x-3x+12
simplify and it will be x^2-7x+12
