Alex asked her friend Beau to bring his robots to the fair. Guests can buy tickets to play with the robots. Beau needs to rope off an area to the fair grounds keep his robots in sight. Read his notes.

The area should be rectangular.

It needs to more then 100 feet long and less then 100 feet wide

The area needs to be between 7,500 and 10,000 square feet

breadth = 50 < b> 100

Explanation:

The area of the rectangle is given by the formula

Area= Length * Breadth

A= L*B

Suppose both the length and the breadth are 100 feet then the area would become

A= 100*100= 10,000 square feet.

The length and the breadth of the square are equal in size and we dont need a square we need a rectangle therefore these values cannot be inclusive for lenght and breadth.

It is given that the length is longer than 100 feet and breadth is shorter than 100 feet.Therefore

length can be 110 feet and breadth 90 feet

Again the area = A= l*b = 110 *90= 9,900 square feet.

Similarly putting different value from 50 to 150 feet for breadth and length we can obtain different results .

Area = l*b = 150*50 = 7500 square feet

for all values of the length between 100 to 150 feet and for breadth 50- 100 feet we can have the values of the area between 7500 to 10,000 square feet.

length = 100< l > 150

breadth = 50 < b> 100
