Deimos, a satellite of mars, has an average radius of 6300 m. if the gravitational force between deimos and a 3 kg rock at its surface is 2.5x10-2 n, what is the mass of deimos?

The gravitational force is a force that attracts any object with mass. We use the equation as follows:

F = Gm1m2 / r^2

where G is the gravitational constant that is equal to
6.67408 × 10-11 m3 kg-1 s-2, m is the mass and r is the radius.

2.5x10^-2= 6.67408 × 10^-11(3)m2 / 6300^2'

m2 = 4.96 x 10^15 kg
