it's B, point S because the line between -5 and -10 is -7.5 because half of 5 is 2.5 so 5+2.5 is seven so it's -7.5. They were looking for a number greater than- 7.5 and less than -2.5. I think I know where you got confused which is at the greater than -7.5 part. Think of it this way would you rather lose -7 dollars to -10 dollars? -7 right because it is less than -10. So same thing on the number line. For the negative part of the number line the closer the number is to zero the greater is it. That's why it is point S because on a point of the number line where it is less than -2.5 but greater than -7.5

point S. if you look at the scale, -7.5 is the second line from the left, and -2.5 is the fourth line. The only point between these two lines is point S.
