Yes, you are right!

First of all, we will subtract
5 from each side.

  • (2x-3)/(4)=5

Then we multiply both sides by
4.

  • 2x-3=20

Then add
3 to each side.

  • 2x=23

Finally, we divide each side by
2.

  • x=(23)/(2)=11.5

\boldsymbol{\sf{\cfrac{2x-3}{4}+5=10 }}

Multiply the two sides of the equation by 4.

2x - 3+20 = 40

Add −3 and 20 to get 17.

2x+17 = 40

It remains 17 on both sides.

2x = 40−17

Subtract 17 of 40 to get 23.

2x = 23

Divide both sides by 2.
