so if it wants to know which fraction is greater, your going to need to find a common denominator (the bottom number)
7/12 & 5/6 6 and 12 have a least common multiple (LCM) of 12... this means that both six and 12 can go into twelve. now you convert the fraction's numerator so it equals everything correctly. Now, since 7/12 already has a denominator of twelve than that means that you dont need to change it. but with 5/6 you need to multiply it by 2. (since 6x2=12)
so now it is 10/12 & 7/12. which one now has the bigger numerator?
A:10/12 > 7/12
for adding the two fractions, you also convert the denominator so it equals 10/12 and 7/12 then just add the numerator
A: 17/12(this is in improper form) so now it's 1 5/12

do the same thing with subtracting but then subract instead of add (obviously)
A: 10/12-7/12= 3/12 which can be simplified into 1/4

when multiplying a fraction, you don't need to change anything, just multiply right across, so 7x5=35 and 12x6=72
A: 35/72

Now try the other one on your own using the instructions i gave you!
Hope this helps!
