List and describe three of the five major types of mass wasting.

Creep - this type of mass wasting occurs during a long period of time (with velocities recorded at only a millimeter per year. The steeper the slope of the land gets, the faster the movement. The gradual increase and decrease of temperature contribute to this type.

Flows - the fluid-like motion of the soil and regolith. Examples of which are mudflows and lahars. This is mainly due to the presence of water in the material.

Landslide - the accelerated movement of earth material down a slope. The most common cause is accumulated rainfall over a period of time, albeit human factor comes into play as well, such as deforestation and blasting.
