What is the main difference between the gas water vapor and the liquid water?

When water is in liquid form and we provide heat to this liquid water then its temperature increases. When this temperature becomes 100 degree centigrade it converts into vapor form. In vapor water molecules are free to move in the random direction but molecules of water flow towards area which is at lower level. Moreover, water vapors have more kinetic energy.
