A hiker hears her echo bounce off of a cliff 2.8 seconds after shouting. how far away is the cliff if the speed of sound is 343 m/s?

We know, speed = distance / time
Here, s = 343 m/s
t = 2.8 s

Substitute their values,
343 = d/2.8
d = 343 * 2.8
d = 960.4 m

In short, Your Answer would be 960.4 meters
