Endothermic. The reaction photosynthesis is an endothermic type of reaction since it needs light energy in order for the whole reaction to process without this energy no reaction would happen. hope this helps!

Answer : The photosynthesis is a type of endothermic reaction.

Explanation :

Photosynthesis : It is a type of chemical reaction that occurs in the green plants or living organism.

During the photosynthesis process, the carbon dioxide reacts with water in the presence of sunlight to produce glucose and oxygen as a product.

The balanced chemical reaction will be,

6CO_2+6H_2O\overset{sunlight}\rightarrow C_6H_(12)O_6+6O_2

In the photosynthesis reaction, carbon dioxide and water molecule are the reactants and glucose and oxygen are the products.

It is an endothermic reaction in which the energy or heat are given to the system. As we know that the photosynthesis reaction can not takes place without sunlight.

Hence, the photosynthesis is a type of endothermic reaction.
