it is non polar.....as polar dissolve polar .....like dissolve like ! so A must be non polar.

Water molecule has dipole moment because H and O have electronegative differences. Solubility is only possible if boty substances( solute and solute) are like i.e either both must be polar or non-polar. So substance A will not dissolve because it is non-polar whereas water is polar molecule.
