It can be said that a vaccine does not prevent infection; rather it primes the immune system to respond to an invader. Using information about human immune response, explain this statement. Mention what happens in the body from the time of vaccination through contact with the infectious agent.

when someone gets a vaccine, your body responds by making lots of antibodies. these antibodies will attack the virus when/if you catch it.

Answer:

Antibodies and memories are developed in immunity system to fight with certain diseases.

Step-by-step explanation:

Vaccination is generally done to prevent a child/an adult from diseases which their immunity system is unable to fight with.

Vaccines are antigens that are given in a very small quantity to an individual. Our immune system produces antibodies to fight against this disease and develops a memory to fight with serious diseases in future.
