Answer: The poet’s first thoughts when he sees the solitary reaper in William Words words, “The Solitary Reaper” are related to the song she’s singing. As she stands there all alone in the field, reaping away, she’s singing, a “melancholy strain” who is sound flows through the deep vale.

Explanation: in the first stanza of the solitary reaper, what is word describes how the report was singing all alone. A Highland girl was working in a field by herself when he came upon her during one of his travels across Scotland, rural countryside. In the field, she was all alone without any assistance. She was there for singing to herself. Without realising it, she was being hard when she sang. The poet ask the onlookers to leave her in peace, so as not to disturb her in her time of seclusion. She was humming a sad tune and was deep in her task of cutting and binding. The poet is so moved by the song is melancholy beauty that the entire valley seems to ring with her voice.
