Answer is y = 1/4x + 5 3/4

Step by step

The point slope formula is y − y1 = m (x − x1 )

First we need to find “m” or slope

Slope formula is (y2 - y1) over (x2 - x1)

4-5 over -7 - -3

-1 over -4 or 1/4

Now for point slope formula using (-3, 5)

y - 5 = 1/4 (x + 3) (x - -3 is same as x + 3)

Distribute

y -5 = 1/4x + 3/4

add 5 to both sides to solve for y

y -5 +5 = 1/4x + 3/4 + 5

Combine

y = 1/4x + 5 3/4 is your answer
