5x-40+5x=180
5x+5x=10x
10x-40=180
40-40=0
180-40=140
10x=140
10x/10=x
140/10=14
x=14

With the picture you provided I made an equation:
(5x-40) + 5x = 180
the answer is x=21
But that answer is not listed in the options
So therefore, your answer is:
none of the above.
