Yes, Maribel will reach her goal. If you convert each fraction with a denominator of 6 then add it up, it will be 1 7/6 which is equal to 2 1/6. I hope this helped.

yes she will reach her goal, she will have skated 1 17/30 miles.
you have to convert everything over /30
27/30 + 20/30 = 47/30 = 1 17/30
