Please assist me the following question, Amar and his friends went to a movie at 4:45pm. The movie ended at 6:20. How long was the movie? Please show work...

Amar got home in 45 minutes after the movie ended. What time did Amar get home? Please explain how you found your answer.

Okay the movie starts at 4:45 and ends at 6:20 if to use the number line and add all correctly we will get 1:35

AND Amar got home in 45 minutes after the movie ended so

1:35 + 0:45 = 2:20

So you just count up to 6:20 so add an hour to 4:45 to make it 5:45 then add 15+ 5:45 which is 6:00.And now you are at one hour and 15 minutes then add 20+ 6:00 which makes 6:20.So the movie was 1 hour and 35 minutes
