What is the mean of 3x, 4x - 5 and 2x - 1?

To find the mean, you add all the terms and divide by the number of terms which is 3.
3x + (4x - 5) + (2X - 1) = 9x - 6
(9x - 6) / 3 = 3x - 2
So the mean is 3x - 2
